Ann Wilson has been playing golf since 1974 representing QLD and Australia and winning many amateur championships. In 1986 Ann turned Professional & played on the European tour for 2 seasons. From 1988 to 1998 Ann was based in Tokyo, and played on the Japanese Tour winning the Akita TV Cup in 1995. Ann was awarded the Australian Sports medal in 2000. Since being accredited as a teaching professional in 1994 Ann has taught for Jack Nicklaus Golf Schools, Greg Norman Golf Foundation, Womens Golf QLD and many more before Lakelands Golf Club were proud to have Ann join as part of their team in 1998.
To Anns credit she was President of Australian Ladies Professional Golf for 13 years and was on the ALPG Board of Directors a voluntary position for 22 Years. In 2010 Ann was presented with Life Membership of Australian Ladies Professional Golf an honour awarded selectively by the ALPG membership in recognition for exceptional services to Australian Ladies Professional Golf.
Ann has also been rated in Golf Magazines top 50 leading teaching professionals in Australia. Anns teaching philosophy is to start with Good foundations, which will allow the player to swing the club more effectively. Get back to basics first with correct Grip placement, Aim parallel, balanced Posture and appropriate Ball position. Keep the amount of swing information simple and precise.
Ann specialises in Ladys Golf Clinics and enjoys helping golfers of any age, gender & ability improve their golf.
Lakelands Driving Range
Lakelands driving range is open to the public every day provided customers wear the appropriate golfing attire on all practice facilities as we class these areas as part of the golf course. (Strictly no denim, no cargo pants, enclosed footwear at all times and a collared shirt)
